Creative costume ideas for the kids this Halloween!

There's something about Halloween that really appeals to the imaginations of both children and adults alike. It's a brilliant excuse to get a bit creative and play around with some awesome costume ideas, not to mention gorge ourselves on buckets of trick or treat candy!

Here at Trunk Towers, Halloween is one of our favourite festivals and we've been having a bit of fun of our own this year designing a special Halloween themed Trunki using our Made for Me customiser and a few super cool glow in the dark stickers... Say hello to Mr Bones, the little Trunki skeleton! ;-)

We thought Mr Bones could do with some spooky friends to keep him company, so we've made a few more Halloween themed creations. Head over to our website to try out our new Made for Me customiser and have a go at designing your own ghoulish Trunki characters!

If you're looking for some slightly more human themed inspiration for your costumes, check out our Halloween Pinterest board - we've scoured the internet to bring you a run down of some of the most original creative ideas we've seen! Here are just a small handful of our favourites...

If you have a little super hero in the making at home, how about this mini Clark Kent outfit, (how cute are those glasses!) Or take a bit of inspiration from some old nursery rhymes, we love this Humpty Dumpty idea.

Here's one for all you sci-fi geeks, baby Doctor Who complete with a toy Dalek!

Why not turn your child into a giant gum ball machine? Then they can eat all the candy inside when they are done trick or treating. ;-) Or try out this fab recreation from Alice in Wonderland.

This is one of our favourites, little Jonny Depp from Edward Scissorhands.

If you are looking for something simple, check out this step-by-step guide to creating Peter Pan's escaped shadow or for something a bit more fancy, here's an awesome tutorial on how to create a toy solder outfit.

Check out our Halloween Pinterest gallery for the full range of all the costume ideas and how-to guides you'll need to kick ass at your local the trick or treat circuit this year! ;-)
