This month we're welcoming to the Trunki herd Gerry the Giraffe. He's an extra special Trunki because £5 from every sale made through the Trunki online shop will be donated to Bristol Zoological Society to help their conservation work with giraffes. To celebrate his arrival we headed to the Wild Place Project in Bristol and took with us some of our biggest Trunki fans!   We're super excited to announce that on Tuesday 23rd of September, Bristol's #BlogClub meet-up will be hosted here at Trunki HQ and we'd love you to come along! Trunki has donated 15 Trunki suitcases to Bristol’s first inclusive dance group, the Flamingo Chicks. The group offers weekly classes to children with disabilities, giving them the opportunity to explore movement and have fun with their friends. Children may have Down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, be undergoing treatment for cancer or be wheelchair users and are aged between 5-8yrs. We started off by sponsoring one of the Flamingo Chicks dance classes, but after hearing that some of the children struggle to carry heavy bags, we thought the pull along Trunki was the ideal, fun solution for transporting dance kits! Bristol is being graced with 80 Gromits this summer as part of The Grand Appeal to raise money for Bristol’s Children’s Hospital. As soon as we heard about the project we put our names down to be a sponsor, and when we had to choose ours, we wasted no time in selecting Carys Ink’s design, ‘Grrrrromit’.
